The Espaço Cultural Thiago de Mello is located within the original building of Errazuriz Palace.

The project empties completely the space, which was very partitioned and damaged, recovering the original brick walls. Once history is perceived in those red brick thick walls, a white metal structure solves de requirements of the cultural center without touching any point of the historical building.

The surround (the historical building) and the content (the cultural center) live together without touching each other.
